Saint-Romain-en-Viennois is a delightful fortified Provençal village, clinging to the side of a hill.
As you enter the village on a road shaded by plane trees and hazel trees, you will be charmed by the beauty of its ancient
ramparts and its church. From the village, there are superb panoramic views over the Monts du
Nyonsais, the Baronnies
and of course, the 'Giant of Provence',
the Mont Ventoux.
What to see, what to visit: its parochial church, with the many cypress trees planted around it; the classical
chapels of Sainte-Marguerite and of the Annonciation; a fountain-oratory at Le Pesquié, a pyramidal-like composition
featuring a cross and the Virgin Mary.
Recommended activities: walks and mountain bike circuits.
