Close to Provence and an easy drive from the Cévennes, Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres offers an attractive blend of history, nature and agriculture… Its narrow streets, small squares, fortified church, the remains of its ramparts, the Ribas tower are all reminders of its medieval heritage. The pine forests surrounding Saint-Laurent offer a great many paths and circuits, ideal for pleasant walks and, for the more enterprising, there are superb views to be enjoyed, from the top of the plateau, over the Mont Ventoux. The local wine (Appellation Lirac) is a true delight and must absolutely be sampled before you leave.

Festivities : The Feast of Saint-Jean in late June. The medieval festivities of Les Donjonnales in June. Fête des Dionysies : celebration of wine and draft horses, with plowing and carriage competitions, in late October. There is an Arts fair held at Whitsuntide.
