Riez

The ancient village of Riez-la-Romaine in the Alpes de Haute Provence region is home to a number of artefacts from different periods in its history - Gallo-Roman, medieval and Renaissance - and attracts potters, faïence specialists and sculptors.

What to see and visit: Roman columns; a baptistery and cathedral; Renaissance town houses; clock tower; ramparts; the Sainte-Maxime chapel; the Provence Nature Museum.
