Set in the heart of the Regional Nature Park of the Verdon, Quinson is in an exceptional setting. Originally
built on the heights, Quinson is now by the side of the lake. Rock climbers can enjoy the area's limestone cliffs, whilst swimming
and canoeing is also very popular. There is a nautical base in the village and the lakes of
Esparron and of
Sainte Croix are very close. Walkers will delight in the
breathtaking beauty of the nature surrounding Quinson. On the cultural front, you can visit the prehistoric cave of la Baume Bonne,
the museum of Prehistory. You can also of course choose to relax by the clear blue waters of the lake of Sainte Croix or in the
shade of the Mediterranean trees.
What to see, what to visit: the church of Notre-Dame-du-Plan, 1807, a cosmological campanile, the small chapel of
Sainte-Maxime with its small ornamental bell tower, the Museum of Prehistory, visits to the cave of la Baume Bonne and the
reproduced prehistoric village, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, the
gorges du Verdon…
Recommended activities: nautical activities on the lake, canoeing and kayaking, canoe rafting, sailing, rock climbing.
