Cavaillon's assets are numerous and enchanting: of easy access, it is set in the heart of an area replete with both natural and cultural riches. The Natural Regional Park of the Luberon and the Alpilles offer a great many paths and circuits for superb walks through Provençal nature, with its unique combinations of scents and aromas (from the olive and pine trees, the garrigue, the lavender fields…). From the top of the Colline Saint-Jacques, the hill in the very centre of Cavaillon, there are superb panoramic views over the town and its surrounding area. The town organises circuits which showcase the rich historical heritage of Cavaillon : the eighteenth century synagogue, the Jewish museum (Musée Juif Comtadin), the first-century Roman arch, the Avignon gateway, the chapel of Le Grand Couvent, the chapel of Saint-Jacques, the Hôtel Dieu museum…
