civilised settlement here back in the 1st century BC. Apt, surrounded by lavender fields, cherry trees, vineyards and numerous

What to see, what to visit: the subprefecture building, formerly the residence of the bishops of Apt; the cathedral
Sainte-Catherine (now a protestant temple); the cathedral Sainte-Anne (built in the 12th and 13th centuries on the remains of an
older construction); the Maison du Parc du Luberon (which provides information on the local wildlife); visits to La Maison du
