Venelles

Halfway between Marseille and Manosque, in the immediate vicinity of Aix-en-Provence, Venelles is, in part, perched on a rock, offering from the castle square a beautiful panorama of the surrounding area: Sainte Victoire, Durance valley, Sainte Baume massif, Luberon. Walkers can discover the richness of the village by taking the marked trails, especially the one of the oratories, or by visiting the "old" village of Venelles le Haut and its Romanesque church. To see, to visit: vestiges of the feudal castle: Chabaud vault, Roman church, windmill (private property), old village of Venelles le Haut. Recommended activities: hiking (marked trails), tennis, bowling
