Pierrelongue is a small village in the Drôme
Provençale. Its church, Notre Dame de Consolation, overlooks the village from a unique rocky outcrop. Its
name, literally meaning 'Long Rock', comes from the rock on which the castle that originally stood in the village was built.
Destroyed in 1789, it was later replaced by the church.
What to see and visit: the Notre-Dame de la Consolation church; the Museum of Sacred Art.
