| 8 km from Buis-les-Baronnies Altitude: 681 Population: 115 An ancient village dominating the Ouvèze gorges, Vercoiran is set on a small fertile plateau. Humans had already settled here by prehistoric times, with remnants of human activity dating back to the Neolithic era having been excavated, as well as numerous fragments of pseudo-Ionian pottery.
What to see, what to visit: the ruins of the old castle; the ancient small stone houses; the church, the chapel Notre-Dame des Champs (in the Viste part of the village).
