During the eleventh century, it was a priory founded by the Order of Saint Benoît. A fiefdom of the Princes of Orange, then of the Maison des Baux, it became a countship during the sixteenth century and a marquisate during the seventeenth century, property of the lords of La Baume-Suze, the last lords of Suze. |
