A perched village on a hill between the Luberon and the Valensole plateau, it dominates the plain through which run the rivers of the Laye and the Largue. Dauphin is amongst the most beautiful villages of Haute Provence; it is a listed site, with spectacular historical remains.

What to see, what to visit: 15th century church; baroque organ; passageway and gate of Le Coulard; the cobbled street of rue de la Pierre (1621); the gate of La Gardette; the dungeon; the ramparts and the many narrow ancient streets.
Recommended activities: walking and horse riding circuits, mountain biking, exhibitions, arts and crafts (pottery, ceramics, woodturning...)
