Le Thor

The Romanesque church of Notre Dame-du-Lac, a listed historical building, has been looking over the small town of Le Thor since the twelfth century. Perfectly preserved, it is unique amongst Romanesque churches in that it offers a rich diversity of sculptures, particularly on its west door and its southern porch. You can also visit the caves of Thouzon, with its many truly remarkable stalactites and stalagmites.

What to see, what to visit : The Sénanque Abbey, the antique dealers of l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the 'Colorado de Provence' around Rustrel, Roussilon and its ochres.
