The name of Sainte Croix du Verdon :
In 1792 a relic was discovered (a piece of wood from the cross locked in a solid silver cross box )providing the origin of a famous saint toponyme.

It was used at the end of the of the XI century in a map of the abbey of the Sainte Victor which confirmes the creation of thr priory of "Santa Crus" , from whence the name of Sainte Croix originates.

Verdon, a river of the same name which crosses the lands of Sainte Croix.
