La Banasterie is a guest house in the heart of Avignon. Fifty meters from the Popes' Palace and just steps from the Saint-Benezet bridge, this beautiful 16th century residence, of which the "Virgin with Child" on the facade is classed as a historical landmark, is a wonderful stopover point.

All the rooms have bathroom with bath-tub, hair-dryers and toilets,. Beds are covered by "provençal bouti", fresh flowers in each room, and at night the house is lighted by candles that gives a particularly pleasant atmosphere.

hocolate lovers, they called the rooms Criollo, Forastero in honor of the great varieties of chocolate, and also Guanaja or Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec god who gave this name to the divine beverage. Each guest will find chocolate on their night table on their arrival, and can not miss tasting the chocolate dessert, a house speciality.
